RYO OKUMOTO, il tastierista di lunga data del gruppo progressive rock Spock’s Beard, ha recentemente annunciato il suo nuovo album solista, “The Myth of the Mostrophus”, in uscita il 29 luglio 2022 su InsideOutMusic. Oggi Ryo è lieto di condividere il lyric video del nuovo singolo “The Watchmaker”:
Il brano vede la partecipazione alla chitarra di Lyle Workman, Dave Meros al basso e Jonathan Mover alla batteria, il tutto avvolto dal riconoscibilissimo sound dell’Hammond B3, del Jupiter 8 e dei Minimoog di Ryo Okumoto. Il brano è stato scritto a quattro mani con il cantante Michael Whiteman. Il commento di Ryo in merito al brano:
“Immergetevi nel racconto de ‘L’Orologiaio’, dove il nostro omonimo personaggio si scatena in un’odissea tra passato, presente e futuro. Il tempo è letteralmente dalla sua parte, con l’orologio sul suo banco di lavoro che gli permette di provare a mettere le cose a posto, di nuovo.”
“The Myth of the Mostrophus” è caratterizzato da apparizioni di un certo calibro tra cui gli attuali ed ex compagni di band degli Spock’s Beard:
