La blackened death metal band portoghese Aoidos ha pubblicato il video di “From the Surface Grate”, terzo singolo estratto dal nuovo album “Oizys” in uscita il 29 novembre su Nox Liberatio Records. Qui sotto trovate il video, più in basso scaletta e copertina dell’album.
La band ha detto del brano:
“Is inspired by the Warhammer 40,000 universe, focusing on the Dark Eldar and their torturous methods of extracting life force from “Monkeigh,” a derogatory term derived from “monkey” that they use to refer to humans. The lyrics narrate the story of a human prisoner held in a Dark Eldar dungeon, enduring unspeakable horrors until his death. In his final moments, he is greeted by a powerful, ethereal voice—the Emperor himself—urging the loyal servant to surrender to death and end his suffering: “In a parallel plane of reality, your mind shielded from all insanity. Say your goodbyes, your mind is gone. Let it go, my child.”
